After the visit at Orb Memorial Yumi and Shinya returned to the Main City to have dinner together. Although Yumi did not realize that the boy she was going on a date, was the same exact pilot who she wanted to "shoot down" so badly she enjoyed his company. Many times during the night she fought within herself to try maintain her composure. |

Shinya began to notice Yumi who seems to be pre-occupied with something. "If you don't want to go out and eat dinner, that is ok," he said to her as they were walking around the city.

Yumi suddenly looked at Shinya. "I'm fine Shinya, I really am. I'm sorry if it seems you feel that way, but I really want to have dinner with you." she replied to him. As they were walking she could see Onogoro Island from a far distance.

Shinya then spotted the restaurant. "Atta, restaurant wa!" he exclaimed! He quickly held Yumi's hand and ran across the street to get to the other side.

Yumi was surprised when Shinya held her hand. She quickly acrossed the street with Shinya and into the restaurant. The restaurant they entered was a nice restaurant. It was not too casual or too formal.

Shinya pulled out the chair for Yumi so she can have seat. He then sat down across from her. The table was a small circle table for 2 with a with a white table covering. The food sever arrived and asked for their order.

Yumi felt like a normal girl for the first time in a long time, but she cannot forget about what had happened to her in past. She then saw the food server quickly raised the menu in front of her face. "I would like the Orb special," she said with a smile.

Shinya did not notice Yumi at the time because he was looking at the menu. After Yumi ordered Shinya said he would like the spaghetti with the Cagalli sauce added. The food server smiled and told them to please wait for their order and that the house salad was free compliments of the head chef. Shinya smiled and said,"This is great! Free salad."

"Cagalli sauce," Yumi replied. She then looked at Shinya with a puzzled look. She then told Shinya she never had the "Cagalli sauce" before.

Shinya laughed. "To be honest I haven't tried the Cagalli sauce. It was something I wanted to try on the menu. How is the house salad? Orb has the best fresh vegetables," he said.

Yumi giggled at what Shinya said. She was really having a good time, but was having trouble admiting it to herself. She then answered Shinya. "The house salad is very delicious. You should try it with sesame dressing." she added.

Shinya smiled. "I actually like sesame dressing on my salad. It is actually better than ranch," he added. He then started to talk about September City and how it was different from Orb.

"September City has been good to me," she said. It was a lot more secure than Orb. That was one of the reason why I left. She then looked down as if she was remembering something tragic.

Shinya noticed Yumi's expression changing and quickly started to talk to her so she can stop thinking about Orb and September City. To ease her he also talked about why he left Orb. "It's because of Earth Alliance in the last war is why I left to go back to September City," he said to Yumi. I wanted to live on Earth and Orb was the best place because Naturals and Coordinators can live together in peace. I had come back to September City." he said.

Yumi agreed with what Shinya said. She told him the reason why she left Orb was she could not bare to see it burn again. "I also lost my brother when he was defending Orb. He was shot down by a mobile suit that had a "wings of light". My brother had no choice, but to fight ZAFT. Earth Alliance forced Orb to attack." she said.
