Athrun became silent and started to think about the first time a mysterious group tried to kill Lacus from what Kira had told him when Athrun was at the PLANTS for a meeting with former Chairman Dullindal, and then Athrun said to Kira, "Could it be the same people that tried to do kill Lacus when the two of you were still in Orb?"

Just then the meeting was interupted. Shinya steps in and addressed the commander and the Chairwoman. "Yamato Taicho, Clyne Gicho I have urgent news. Armory One is reporting attacks at a nearby base. Troops requesting immediate reinforcments" he said to them and the members of the council.

Athrun was shocked when he heard the name Armory One then he remembered the time he and Cagalli went their to see Chairman Dullindal then he said to Kira, "Did you have anything new Stationed their Kira?

Kira thought for a moment. He then looked at Lacus and then Athrun. He then spoke. "We do have 2 prototype units there. X27S Wing Zero and the Destiny Impulse." Come to think of it, the Eternal is there right now. It was scheduled for a maintence."

Lacus looked at Athrun. "Athrun, you cannot get yourself involved. I hate for Orb to be involved in another conflict. It goes against Orb beliefs" she said to him.

Athrun looked at Lacus and then said, "I know Lacus but it will be only a matter of time until Orb will be involed again just like the last war."

"I believe Armory One is the next target. From what Shinya told me the ones who have stolen ZAFT's lastest ship is also the ones heading towards Armory One," he said to them both.

Shinya then spoke. "I'm heading to Armory One immediately." he said to him. He saluted to Kira and Lacus and excused himself.

Kira nodded as he saw Shinya leaving the council meeting. He then looked at Lacus. "I have to be going to, but I cannot leave you here Lacus. I want you to be safe," he said to her.

Athrun knew he could not go with Kira and Shinya then he said to Kira, "Kira go on ahead I'll stay here with Lacus."

He looked at Athrun and smiled. "Thank you Athrun." he said to him. He looked at Lacus and gave her a kiss. He then nodded at Athrun and left right after Shinya.

Lacus blushed after Kira kissed her. She smiled at him and told him to take care. She then turned to Athrun and thanked him for staying with her. "So Athrun, tell me how's Cagalli doing?" she said with a smile.
