A few days later, Chairwoman Lacus Clyne held a meeting to discuss incident that occured on Aprilius City. The council both agreed that Earth Alliance WASN'T part of the attack, but they don't know who it was that did it.

Kira accompanied Lacus as he entered the coucil meeting. He listen intently as Lacus spoke. After awhile Kira spoke. "I am unclear as to whom might want to kill Lacus, but we all know the people who attack us, do not agree with how we are doing things." he said to Council Members.

Lacus was thinking for a moment. Then then said, "I was hoping and praying this day will never come, but we all must act carefully at what we are going to do next. Exercising our right to defense is what we are only going to do for now. We will not go to war."

"I do not wish to fight, but I cannot stand around and do nothing if all the lives we are trying to protect die in front of us." Kira said as he spoke his mind. He then looked at Lacus.

"I agree with Kira." she said as she looked at him. "We cannot sit around while lives are being lost. We need to make sure everyone is safe." she said to the council members.

Mwu who was also attending on behalf of Orb, and a guest under the chairwoman, he began to speak. "I agree with Kira and Lacus, I do not want this to escalate into a war, but we cannot rule that out as an option." he said. Mwu noticed that the council members weren't agreeing with him. "What I'm trying to say is, until we know what we are up against we cannot do anything else, but exerices the right to defense." he said to them.

Lacus looked at Mwu. "I appreciate Orb showing their support, but you are a neutral nation and therefore cannot be involved." she said to him.

"You have a point Chairwoman, but it's only a matter of time before Orb is next." he replied to her. Mwu explained that he sensed something familiar, but couldn't tell what it was about. He had a feeling something wasn't going to turn out right. He then saluted Kira and Lacus and said he will be returning to Orb to tell Murrue what had happened.

Athrun arrives at Aprrilis's space port on a sepperat shuttle and he sees a another shuttle that Mwu came in.

Kira then saw Athrun. "You just missed Mwu, he left awhile ago. He is going to inform Murrue of what is happening." he said to him.

Lacus looked at Kira and then Athrun. "I fear the worst, Athrun. I believe another war maybe ahead in the future. I don't want Orb to get involved. I've grown to love that nation." she told him.

Lacus remained silent as she held onto Kira's arm. She was once again a target for someone or something that was out there. She knew Kira would protect her, but she was also worried about Kira whenever he goes out to battle.
