Shinya was worried about what was going on in PLANTs. He looked at Kira and said, "Yamato-taicho, Gicho wa..." and at that point he know that a civil war had sparked between the followers of Lacus Clyne and the ideals of Patrick Zala.

Sakurai was having some concerns of her own. If Ronah did attack she wanted to know if September City was ok. She anxiously waited for Sakura's response.

Eric looked back at Sakura. "Did anything else happen besides that broadcast coming from PLANTS." Eric asked since he was getting a feeling that something else is going on but he couldn't think of something else to say.

Sakura looked down briefly and replied to Eric. "Not too long ago I lost contact with Carpentaria and Gibralter Base. The last transmission I received was that they were under attack by their own." she said.

Kira looked backed at Shinya and said, "I know what you mean. The chairwoman could be in trouble." He then listened to Sakura.
"So we lost Carpentaria and Gibralter." he said.

Shinya was caught off guard by what Sakura and Kira told him. "Carpentaria? We have to get that base back," he said. He looked down at the floor for awhile and looked back at everyone. "I was stationed in Carpentaria in the last war." he said.

Kira thought long and hard. Minerva was the only ZAFT ship that hasn't been destroyed or badly damaged. He wasn't sure about the rest of the ZAFT ships, but he knew he had to rescue Lacus. He looked at Shinya and told him that he was in charge of Sakurai.
"I'm going to PLANTs to get Lacus. Shinya go see if we can re-take Carpentaria." he said.

Kira looked at Eric and thought for a moment. "They have been quiet for awhile now," he said to Eric. Kira then turned his attention to Sakura. "I understand that both bases were attack, but did the last transmission mentioned any mobile suits?" asked Kira to Sakura.
